Sirrus Incidentte

Born into a wealthy family, and attending the Batalha Academia in Lisbon, where he excelled in pistols. At this time he had good looks, a fair demeanour and the laziness a pampered lifestyle brings.

At the age of 19 he life took a turn for the worst. He sister Magdellena was taken away to be married to a minor noble of a Spanish family, (the hated invaders). He had an opportunity to save her, but had been out drinking and gambling his allowance. His sister was swept away, never to be seen by him again, and he heard she died some few weeks later of a fever. He suffered much torment for passing up the chance to save her, and barely kept his academy and officer-training placement.

He was never the same again and a few difficult months passed. He did (attempt) to redeem himself when he heard of another vibrant daughter of Portugal was to have a similar fate to his sister. He went to rescue her from the grand Mansao she was held him.

In an ensuing struggle, and a fight where he slew many foul Spanish, the building caught alight and burned to the ground. He was scarred and his looks faded to the dark brooding sapo (toad face) he is now.

With another failure, and him to ugly to be a gentleman, he was summarily exiled from the academy, and banished from Portugal, never to return, in a bid to save his family from further torment and treatment… He now seeks salvation and solace in distant ports and, distant bars, unable to hold down friendship or money for any length of time. When he meets the foul Spaniard, TaQualia who took away his beloved and precious sister to her doom he will say to him…

Secret He Knows: The good lady Felicidade De Constancio survived the fire at the mansion and flourishes now in England married to a brilliant naval officer.

Slick-bottom Jack: Aged 33, no teeth, terrible wig, and likes to eat insects… so nicknamed because of the way his oils the guns-runners.
Eric ‘Short-Stop’ Green: Aged 22, short, wiry and a likeable chap… so named because he spends less time ashore than even Sirrus. It is highly likely he spends money even faster than I!!
